EU Insider (euinsider.eu) is published by the European Policy Innovation Council (EPIC), a think tank based in Brussels. EPIC is the data controller for personal data collected on this site. This policy explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it, in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
Newsletter sign-up: your email address. Contact form: your name, email address and the content of your message. Technical data: our hosting provider records standard server data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to deliver the site and keep it secure.
We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
To send you the newsletter you asked for (legal basis: your consent). To answer your message (legal basis: our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us). To run and secure the website (legal basis: our legitimate interest in a working, safe site). We do not sell your data and we do not use it for profiling.
Only with service providers who process it on our behalf: Webflow, Inc. (website hosting and forms). Some of these providers are based in the United States. Transfers rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
We keep personal data only as long as we need it:

You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, restrict or object to its processing, or receive it in a portable format. You can withdraw consent to the newsletter at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email.
To exercise any right, write to contact@euinsider.eu. If you think we got it wrong, you can complain to the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
The site runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS), access to form submissions is limited to the editorial team, and our providers are bound by data-processing agreements.
