You probably noticed that in the last days, it was hard to open the internet without seeing posts about ChatGPT. So what is it, and why is everyone talking about it? ChatGPT is a state-of-the-art, open-source chatbot model developed by OpenAI. It is based on the Generative Pretrained Transformer 3 (GPT-3) architecture, which is currently one of the world’s largest and most advanced language models. The chatbot provides human-like conversational capabilities, allowing the algorithm to interact with users naturally and intuitively. Most importantly, it is trained on a large dataset of human conversations, allowing it to understand the nuances of natural language and generate appropriate responses.
Some articles in recent days have even proclaimed the end of Google’s business model. I would rather not go that far. Google is certainly working on its own solution of this kind. What is crucial at this point is to realise that we are witnessing a technological revolution that will change a great deal in the coming months and years, including in our daily work.
Let’s see what we can get from ChatGPT today. We can ask to try to copy someone else’s writing style.
We can also ask the algorithm to prepare social media messages based on existing text.
But actually, why should I bother and think about what to write in this post about ChatGPT’s capabilities if the tool itself can orchestrate it for me? Even better.
And how about helping out with the daily duties of a lobbyist?
It will be interesting to see ChatGPT based virtual assistants as well as tools for customer services, commerce, marketing and entertainment boom in the coming months. It is clear that we are witnessing a milestone event in the chatbot technology development.
