CEENERGYNEWS, a leading source of energy industry news and insights, has unveiled its latest endeavor—the Top CEE Energy Influencers awards. With geopolitical tensions, supply disruptions, record-high energy prices, and the urgent need for sustainable solutions, energy leaders in Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) face an unparalleled set of challenges. The Top CEE Energy Influencers awards aim to recognise and celebrate the exceptional individuals driving positive change within the industry, from pioneering sustainable agendas to inspiring teams and shaping the future of the energy sector.
Nominations can be made by completing a brief form, available until June 7, 2023. Once the nomination period concludes, a rigorous voting process will commence, continuing until October 30, 2023.
The winners of the Top CEE Energy Influencers awards will be unveiled during a highly anticipated in-person ceremony scheduled for December 4, 2023, in Budapest, Hungary. This exclusive event will gather industry representatives, thought leaders, and decision-makers to recognise and applaud the remarkable achievements of the region’s foremost energy influencers.
The awards will be presented across several distinct categories:
The Most Influential Energy Leader in CEE:
This category seeks nominees who have exhibited exceptional leadership in driving their company’s sustainability agenda, efficiently responding to recent challenges such as energy price volatility, supply disruptions stemming from conflicts and natural disasters, and geopolitical upheavals. Moreover, these individuals should have demonstrated a knack for inspiring their teams to achieve new heights.
The Most Influential Energy Expert:
The second category celebrates energy experts whose work, insights, and initiatives have left an indelible mark on the industry. Nominees in this category are expected to have made a tangible impact on processes, industries, or communities. They should be thought leaders who challenge conventional wisdom, foster constructive dialogue, and drive real change in the energy sector, locally and/or globally.
The Best Young Energy Influencer in CEE (Under 35 years old):
This category is devoted to recognizing the rising stars of the industry—remarkable individuals under the age of 35 who have already made substantial contributions to the energy sector. From spearheading startups and initiatives to shaping local environmental policies, these young influencers have demonstrated their ability to inspire their peers and build a more sustainable future.
In a strategic partnership with Women in Energy (WONY), CEENERGYNEWS introduced the Women Influencers category. With women occupying just 20% of leadership roles in the global energy industry, this special recognition aims to amplify the visibility of top women managers and inspire younger generations. Notably, nominees in this category are eligible for nomination in other categories as well.
CEENERGYNEWS urges industry professionals to participate in the nomination process and help identify the most influential energy leaders across the CEE region. By acknowledging and celebrating their exceptional contributions, the awards seek to spotlight the individuals shaping the energy landscape and propelling the industry forward.
