Rud Pedersen Group has announced the acquisition of a 30% stake in RetiEspaña, a Madrid-based government relations and public affairs consultancy. This move comes just before Spain takes on the Presidency of the European Union in July.
RetiEspaña will now operate as a full member of the Rud Pedersen Group, marking the group’s expansion into Spain. Alfonso López, the founder and CEO of RetiEspaña, will continue in his leadership role.
The partnership aims to strengthen Rud Pedersen Group’s European public affairs and strategic communications offerings. Morten Rud Pedersen, the CEO of Rud Pedersen Group, stated that this collaboration will allow the group to meet the needs of their clients on a Europe-wide scale, and he emphasized the value of integrating RetiEspaña’s expertise into the group.
RetiEspaña specializes in corporate diplomacy, stakeholder analysis, market intelligence, media relations, and strategic communications. The firm employs 20 professionals with expertise in political and communications sectors, working with clients in finance, tech, agriculture, defense, and healthcare.
Alfonso López of RetiEspaña expressed optimism about joining Rud Pedersen Group, highlighting opportunities for expanded influence and enhanced services for their clients.
This acquisition positions Rud Pedersen Group with a strengthened presence in Europe, particularly in Spain, as the country prepares to assume the EU Presidency.
