Daniel Dang, the Director of Business Development at SolarPower Europe, commented on the achievement, highlighting the efforts of the SolarPower Europe team over the years.
Dang also mentioned the organisation's future aspirations, stating that SolarPower Europe aims to support the growth of solar energy, with an objective for it to play a significant role in Europe's energy matrix by 2030. This objective, he noted, would be pursued in collaboration with their members.
So far, SolarPower Europe has initiated several projects and platforms. Among them is the EU Solar Strategy and the attainment of a 45% Renewable Energy Sources (RES) target within the EU. The organisation has also launched the Solar Stewardship Initiative for transparency in the solar supply chain. Moreover, they introduced the New Solar Jobs Platform to highlight employment opportunities within the solar industry. An additional initiative mentioned was the "Solar Supports Ukraine Initiative", which focuses on installing solar panels on educational and medical facilities in Ukraine.
