The move places the company closer to the central European decision-making hub, especially in light of the ongoing evolution of sustainability regulations in the European Union.
Julia Staunig has been announced as the Managing Director of the new Brussels branch. Staunig previously held a Senior Managing Director role at Teneo in Brussels, specializing in advisory capacities on sustainability, ESG, and financial services regulation. Her extensive professional experience spans across cities like Brussels, London, and Copenhagen. Apart from her seasoned background in sustainable finance, Staunig is a graduate of the Copenhagen Business School and is proficient in multiple languages, including German, Danish, and English.
The establishment of the Brussels office is timely, given the recent and forthcoming changes in EU sustainability legislation. This includes the anticipated European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) that companies will need to adhere to by 1 January 2024. With this strategic location, Position Green aims to provide its clients with enhanced insights and services in navigating the evolving regulatory landscape.
Position Green's digital offerings, specifically the Sustainability Management Suite, cater to businesses aiming to adapt to these regulatory requirements and to better incorporate sustainability strategies.
Reflecting on her new role, Staunig shared her enthusiasm about the opportunity to advance Position Green's objectives in the sustainability realm, especially in the dynamic Benelux market.
Daniel Gadd, Co-Founder and CEO of Position Green, welcomed Staunig, emphasizing the alignment of her professional expertise with the company's ambitions in the sustainability sector.
