In a recent LinkedIn post, Connor Allen announced his decision to take up the position of Manager of Government & External Relations at Mitsubishi Electric, where his portfolio will include semiconductors, defence, AI, air conditioning & heat pumps, engines as well as other electronic products.
This move comes after three years of service at Honda Motor Europe Ltd, where he held the role of Manager of European Government Affairs.
During his tenure at Honda, Connor Allen faced the challenges brought on by the pandemic and the implications of Brexit. Despite these hurdles, he and his team managed to establish the Government Affairs Innovation & Communication Hub in Brussels and effectively engaged in lobbying efforts pertaining to the automotive industry's future. POLITICO Europe recognised the efforts, ranking Connor 31st among influential people in Brussels. Moreover, he successfully built his social media presence, earning recognition as one of Eurobubbles' 'Top Tweeters.'
Connor's new role at Mitsubishi Electric as Manager of Government & External Relations will provide him with an opportunity to leverage his experience in EU affairs and government relations.
