Van Eetvelt took on his responsibilities on the BritCham board in May, while Candon began his mandate at AmCham EU on July 1st.
Van Eetvelt brings a wealth of experience as a seasoned Chief Executive Officer with a strong track record in negotiation, coaching, business development, press communication, and change management. His previous roles include CEO positions at Unizo, Febelfin, and RSC Anderlecht, as well as serving as the President of VDAB, the Social-Economic Council of Flanders, and a board member of the National Bank of Belgium. He is also the president of the board of Sporta and Lotto-Dstny Pro Cycling, and a board member of Matexi, among other roles.
Candon, who has nearly two decades of experience in the Brussels bubble, has been actively engaged with AmCham EU for the past ten years. He has extensive expertise in corporate reputation, policy communication, and management. Previously, he held positions as the Managing Director at FTI Consulting, global head of communications at International Post Corporation, and Corporate Practice Director at Weber Shandwick. Additionally, Candon serves as the Chair of the Irish Club of Belgium and a board member of the Leuven Center for Irish Studies.
