The ALDE Party Bureau informed in a press release that it took note of the announcement by Secretary General Jacob Moroza-Rasmussen that he will step down from his current role within ALDE Party, as he has been offered and accepted a new professional challenge as of May 2023. Moroza-Rasmussen confirmed this information in a tweet.
During his time heading the ALDE Party secretariat since 2012, the Party has grown in both size and influence and the ALDE Party Bureau expressed its gratitude for the enormous growth and work that has been done in that period.
The ALDE Party Bureau said it will take the necessary measures to ensure a smooth transition until a new Secretary General is nominated. The Bureau will launch an open call for a new Secretary General after discussing the matter.
